Refund and Returns Policy

At TruContainers, we stand by the quality of our shipping containers and prefab cabins. Due to the size and custom nature of our products, returns are limited to specific conditions outlined below.


1. Eligibility for Returns

You may request a return within 30 days of delivery only for:

  • Major Defects: Structural issues (e.g., welding failures, leaks, or non-functional doors/windows).
  • Damage During Transit: Verified via signed carrier inspection reports.
  • Wrong Item Shipped: If you receive a product not matching your order.

Non-Eligible Returns:

  • Buyer’s remorse, incorrect measurements, or minor cosmetic flaws (e.g., rust spots, paint scratches).
  • Customized units (e.g., modified doors, added insulation).

2. Return Process

  2. Provide Evidence: Submit photos/videos of defects and your order number.
  3. Approval: We’ll inspect the claim and respond within 3 business days.
  4. Return Shipping:
    • TruContainers covers return costs for damaged/wrong items.
    • Customers pay return freight for non-defective items (rarely approved).

3. Refunds

  • Processing Time: Approved refunds issued within 10 business days via the original payment method.
  • Deductions: Refunds exclude original shipping fees ($350 flat rate) and customization costs.
  • Store Credit: Available by request for faster resolution.

4. Exchanges

  • Damaged/Wrong Items: We’ll ship a replacement at no extra cost (5–7 business days).
  • Custom Orders: Exchanges require a new 30% deposit.

5. Important Notes

  • Inspection Required: Refunds/exchanges are void if you modify the product before approval.
  • Local Pickups: Returns must be undamaged and repackaged for pickup at 6301 Geil Ln, Louisville, KY 40219.
